Lifesaving Society First Aid

EB Aquatics offers Lifesaving Society First Aid and CPR programs designed to build confidence and preparedness for real-life emergencies. Our hands-on training is ideal for families, caregivers, aquatic professionals, and workplaces, with a strong focus on prevention, practical skills, and water safety.

For added convenience, we travel to businesses, schools, and community groups to deliver engaging, instructor-led training on-site.

Below are our course offerings!

Course Offerings

  • Basic First Aid provides awareness, knowledge, and skills related to first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Topics include workplace safety, self-protection, scene and primary assessment, CPR, breathing emergencies such as choking, and what to do for external bleeding, heart attack/angina, stroke, and using an AED. Includes CPR-C with AED certification for adult, child and infant. It is recognized by Ontario's Workplace Safety & Insurance Board.

  • Intermediate First Aid includes all aspects of Basic First Aid and provides additional comprehensive first aid training. Candidates demonstrate first aid care for:

    • anaphylaxis

    • shock

    • stroke

    • amputations

    • facial injuries

    • burn injuries

    • fractures and dislocations

    • neck or spinal column injuries

    • seizures, diabetic emergencies

    • environmental injury and illness.

  • Learn CPR skills and the signs, symptoms and care of choking, non-breathing and pulseless victims.

    CPR-A(Adult) teaches how to do CPR and choking procedures for adults and includes the importance of early defibrillation and how to use an AED.

    CPR-C (Adult, Child & Infant) covers all aspects of CPR skills and theory for adult, child and infants, including two-rescuer CPR skills. CPR-C includes the importance of early defibrillation and how to use an AED.

    CPR-HCP/BLS & AED (Adult, Child & Infant, AR, AED, BVM) covers all aspects of CPR including rescue breathing and the use of AEDs and BVMs. This Health Care Provider (HCP) level is designed specifically for those who as part of the job description as Health Care Providers have a duty to respond to medical emergencies (e.g., doctors, nurses, paramedics, and allied health care professionals).

  • Emergencies can happen when we least expect them. Our Infant CPR Workshop is designed to equip parents, caregivers, and anyone who cares for an infant with the essential life-saving skills needed in case of an emergency.
